Slow Fibre speeds...

Router says I am connected at 39.9mbps, BTwholesale speed test says 32-37mbps on multiple tests at multiple times of day - all good right?

Wrong! Actual throughput is below 10mbps. All other speed tests show no better than 10mbps.

Working in IT I believe there is significant traffic shaping going on here... Either stop this or give me a reduction on my bill for the lost throughput!

  • Product: Unlimited Fibre
  • Estimated Download Range: 36 - 40Mbps
  • Estimated Upload Range: 7 - 10Mbps
  • Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 30.9Mbps
  • Current Line Speed (Download): 37Mbps

I'm sorry to hear you're having speed issues as of recent. Together with our network partners at Openreach we are prioritising customers who don’t have a phone line or broadband connection, meaning there might be a delay in Speed Faults being fixed. In the meantime, please raise your speed fault online at faults.plus.net.
