Slow Fibre connection (4MB fibre)

Has anyone had a Slow Fibre connection recently? mine has been running around 4 MB for well over a week

** Setup  **
Socket Type: NTE5c MK2 & VDSL/ADSL Faceplate MK4
Router: DrayTek Vigor2862ac 3.9.4.1_BT

Router Connection showing:-
    UP Speed: 13,184 (Kbps)
    Down Speed: 48,999 (Kbps)
    SNR Upstream: 6 (dB)
    SNR Downstream: 7 (dB)

**  Testing **

  1. Router Reboot – No change to the speed
  2. Quiet line test - no issues
  3. Speed checks performed with directly connected device https://testmy.net/db/xY7ChZyQx.eJhq5XN_K
  4. Tracert (2 tracerts taken one from my line the other from a good plunet connection (50MB+) down the road)

This was fine a month ago but now worse than ADSL,

Ticket logged with Plusnet a week ago, chased and DM sent via Twitter but….. no response!!

@hivizdave  Welcome to the forums.

Have you plugged your router directly into the master Socket behind the NTE5c  ? If not do so for awhile, this will isolate it from any internal wiring issues.

Are the 4 Mb speeds via a wired or Wi-Fi connections? Wi-Fi can vary a great deal depending on outside factors for which PlusNet have no control. The Speed Test must be done via a wired connection.

Doing a trace route will have no impact on your speed.
