Sites very slow

Hi everyone
For the past week or so the web has been very slow (hard wired connection) - sites like BBC taking an age to load and images timing out. Same with Twitter and other sites.  BT Wholesale is reporting 25mb down (acceptable range 40-67), 12mb up.  I've noticed a few people here reporting similar problems.  Any ideas?

You should be seeing faster than 25Mb/s on a speedtest. If the speeds remain slow it's worth reporting as a fault to us at https://faults.plus.net

I am having the issue that the pages are slow or don't load a first a refresh seems to correct it. Is your issue similar?

Have ou tried a reboot of router via its webpage , so it puts you on another gateway ??  http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway/ ;
