Sharing fibre optic broadband

my neighbour and I don't use much internet but I couldn't cope with slow speed so upgraded to fibre optic.

I have no idea but is it possible (legally and technically) share it with my neighbour (obv if I trust him not to do anything dodgy)?

I know all the options - extenders, boosters, etc. if anyone has done it - whats the best option?

could always run an ethernet cable

You could always use a router with a guest network capability - then he could use the internet via wireless without having access to the router

this assumes of course that the wireless signal is good enough

I live in a semi and receive a better wifi signal from my neighbour's router than I did with the PN Hub One.

So if the router wifi is good then they could connect that way as long as you trust them with your router's access code or not do anything dodgy traceable back to you?

So let me explain this further..

It’s a semi detached terraced house

His is same.

Let’s say the wifi signal from my router is not strong enough to cover all his house.

1. Is it legal to share broadband?

2. Has anyone tried and tested?

3. Is best option another paired router or signal booster? (Ethernet cable is out of question as needs wireless signal not a cabled connection)

fwiw, if your neighbour complains the wireless from your Plusnet router isn't good enough, then I'd be inclined to install a cable and put a wireless access point on the end of it. 

If your neighbour or yourself have a redundant wireless router kicking about, most can be easily 'reconfigured' to function as a wireless access point.

Your neighbour can decide where to put their access point for best coverage throughout their property.  I'd advise keeping your router and their access point well apart, especially if they are on opposite sides of the party wall.
