Service issues in West Yorkshire

Anyone has internet issues specifically since yesterday regarding slow service, dropping out and disconnects ? Prior to then everything was ok. Looking at the PN service status everything is ok, clearly not for me !

Re: Service issues in West Yorkshire

@hsbc1972 Probably just you. Sight of your 'Help Desk' page from the Troubleshooting tab on your router, with any personal info redacted, would possibly be helpful.

@hsbc1972

You can get stats from the hub one if you visit http://192.168.1.254 then click troubleshooting and then help desk.

Re: Service issues in West Yorkshire

Easy - log into your router (presumably a Hub1), click the 'Troubleshooting' tab -top right, take a screenshot and edit out personal details before uploading to the topic. Picture below might help:

Re: Service issues in West Yorkshire

Welcome to our community forums @hsbc1972 Our service status would be for issues on the Plusnet network that affect a large number of people rather than supplier issues although I appreciate making people aware of major service outages is a good idea, it's something we can certainly take onboard.

Moving on to the issue with your service, there's no major service outages showing that's affecting your line. Looking at your connection pictured below, it's stable and testing your line is showing download speed's OK although your upload's slow but that may be down to the length of your line.

Are you using a wired or wireless connection? Also I've attached the test results below

Re: Service issues in West Yorkshire

Thanks for that, @hsbc1972 - exactly what I needed, but unfortunately, apart from your horrible attenuation figures(you must be a massive distance from the cab), there is nothing there that shouts out at me, in fact it all looks very reasonable.

I'm afraid all I can suggest at the moment is that you run through the 'speed issues' topic on this board, and then raise a question at faults.plus.net .

You do have an issue, but not one that has an obvious cause.

Re: Service issues in West Yorkshire

@jab1  thanks for the feedback, according to BT records we are about 400m away from our cab. Not sure if they report direct distance or actual distance. We are on a small housing estate thats been here for approx 40 years and not in a remote location !

ps Having reread the info posted yesterday about my line results I see there is mention of distance of 1500+m, presume this is to the exchange rather than the cab ?

Re: Service issues in West Yorkshire

With the 'reported' attenuation, your cables must go a long way round, then.
