Service down, only option is a 45 minute wait on phone

Hi,
My broadband died at 2 am this morning. I woke up to find it still down. I've reset the router multiple times, checked the router connection which has a physical connection at 49 Mb/s down 6 Mb/s up. There's just no connection to you.
Online chat is unavailable and the wait time according to your recorded message is 45 minutes. As I'm at work this isn't an option. The service status page hasn't changed from 'no known issues' at all so is there a general service fault or is it just my service? And how am I supposed to report a fault other than hang on the phone for 45+ minutes?
My internet connection is a critical service in my household and I'm at a loss on how to report the fault.
