Router resets login/Dsl details

I'm using the Technicolor TG582n / software 8.C.M.0

On a few occasions it has managed to reset the admin and DSL logins details.  When ive logged in again using the default serial pass it has TR69 or similar as the login details.

its stopped me logging in remotely a few times and is very annoying!

Anyone else experience or know the fix?

edit:  Just to add, its doesn't lose all the settings, wifi pass and port forwarding are still intact.

Re: Router resets login/Dsl details

If you go to your Plusnet "members centre", somewhere there you'll find a setting to disable auto configuring the router. Sorry can't remember the exact terminology.

If you wish to go all out to prevent the ISP from accessing the TG582 then the following telnet settings will do that.

http://npr.me.uk/telnet.html#cwmp

Before either method, please ensure you know your internet login username and password, and that they are entered in the router.

You can also use Chat and ask Plusnet to disable TR-069 if you cannot find the option on the Member's Portal.

Re: Router resets login/Dsl details

Great ive disabled the autosetup, hopefully this sorts it.

My account -> Connection settings -> Automatic Hardware Setup
