Router Questions

I had been using my old HH3 as my router when I first switched to Plusnet, however the wireless died. 

I have replaced it with the one I was sent, which is easy to use, but even for a free router there are features I could do in the HH3 that appear to be lacking. 

I can't rename the admin password!!

I can't rename devices on the home network. so they are just listed as "unknown".  This bugs the heck out of me!

I can't fix IP's to devices, 

Is there any way to unlock these features? Or force a device to have a name. 

(One of my devices did pick up it's name first time, now it is listed as unknown, and have no idea why.)

Why would the tiny reset but fix any of those problems?

Hi and welcome to the forums.

To be honest, the best way to find out how the Plusnet Hub One works is to go to Google and type

BT HOMEHUB 5

And add on to that what feature you are interested in.

As the Hub One is a recased BT Home Hub 5 Type A (minus FON) and the knowledge base for this is really with the BT community who have had this device for several years now. Plusnet only started with it last December.

The user guides page shows pictures of the 3 recently supplied routers at http://www.plus.net/help/broadband/router-user-guides/ so is yours the 2704n ?

Probably best to search the site using the router model number to see the threads about issues and if solutions have been found.
