Router/Modem Requirements for Fibre?

I've just signed up for PlusNet Fibre. I believe that I get a "Hub One" as part of this deal, but I would prefer to use my DrayTek Vigor 2710Vn - at least as the router and DHCP Server. Is this possible?

Re: Router/Modem Requirements for Fibre?

Your router has an in built ADSL modem, with no provision for a WAN connection, so no.

Re: Router/Modem Requirements for Fibre?

So I can't plug the WAN connection from the Hub One into a LAN socket?

If not, can I telnet into the Hub One to set up static bindings for the DHCP Server?

Re: Router/Modem Requirements for Fibre?

No, you would need to do it the other way round, connect the Hub One to the telephone line with the DSLport, and your Router's WAN port to a Hub One LAN port, but your router does not appear to have a WAN port.
