Re: Right choice

No regrets here, plenty of good reviews about, but I don't think you will find them on a help forum though  Wink

Re: Right choice

After an initial bad start on the changeover (which was the engineers fault not Plusnets, he hadn't fixed the connections fully in the box when switching them around) I've had no complaints whatsoever. Speeds are up by 10Mb and ping times for games are down by 50%. I'm getting 13ms in BF4 on the PC which is great Smiley
When I have called to ask a question they have answered the phone quickly and have been extremely helpful.....much better than BT.
Can't moan at this for midday on a Saturday:

Re: Right choice

I've been with PN since 2003 and have always been pleased with the level of support they give. Also, their call centres are in the UK which makes calling them far more pleasurable than calling their parent company (BT).

Re: Right choice

Thank everyone. Would you use the Plusnet router or Bt home hub 4????

Re: Right choice

Keep the PN router for emergencies and use the HH4 for everyday use.
I've not had any major issues in the 20+ months I've been with them -if you consider they have >700,000 customers then you'll appreciate why you'll hear bad stuff about them on the forums as more people tend to come on and complain publicly than come on to praise things when they go smoothly Wink

Same here for ordering and go live on 28/11/2013  ;D.    I've been having internet since the 90s, I've lost count of ISPs I have had over the years  have had a few problems in the past, its pretty easy thus far to establish a OR fault to/ISP fault (ie congestion) or end user fault before contacting support  Wink  I always find being a polite informed pain in the ass normally get things sorted pretty quickly,  Its true what is said about forums, its where people come to moan, look at any ISP forum.

Re: Right choice

I've been using them for years now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. (in fact, I've just moved out of a flat and talked the new tenant into signing up)
I've just moved home for the third time since being with Plusnet and it couldn't have gone more smoothly! (apart from my profile being stuck on the old speed...)
You've made the right choice!

Re: Right choice

I've been with Plusnet since March and find them to be very good, unfortunately they are at the mercy of BTW & BTO both of which can be very poor even more so when you get a fault, so whilst i do highly recommend plusnet be aware that there are external forces that can make things a damn pain in the rear.
