Reverse DNS Lookup

Hi,

I have a fixed IP on my account and if possible I would like to update the reverse DNS record for the IP address.

Currently is returns the standard <username>.plus.net.

If possible I would like to change this to my domain - tarrant.ch

If you need to verify anything you will see WHOIS records for that domain match my details and the address you supply my fibre broadband.

Re: Reverse DNS Lookup

You can request a change to the rDNS here.

I'm not sure if it is possible for a .ch domain but it is doesn't harm to ask!

I must have been really bad in a previous life as this was my 3rd ISP in a row that used lithium.
Now you're stuck with me because my new ISP doesn't run a forum Cheesy

Re: Reverse DNS Lookup

Shouldn't be a problem if the WHOIS matches. Might be an idea to set up an A record to point to your IP too as further proof though.
