Re: Request for a GEA test please.

A little update.....my line seems to be going very unstable the last couple of days, had a few drops and thought it was nice and speeds from Saturday mornings drop, but the early hours of this morning from about 1am onwards it was horrendously slow and very few web pages would even load that at about 5.15am I pulled the power from the modem and left it unplugged for about an hour....plugged it back in and had a drop within minutes and then re-connected...so, from about 6.30am this morning it has been running ok, back in the low to mid 60Mbps speeds.

Can only wait and hope that these drops will stop....as its very frustrating.

Sorry to hear this.

Our tests are showing the line to be stable and running OK. We can easily see data from a back-end system now it's integrated into our front-end tests as of yesterday and that's not flagging any issues either:

Do you have another modem or router you can try?

@Gandalf

Thanks for a copy of this new chart.....you said that yo can see this as of yesterday.....is that an update on your systems that took place overnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning?  Thats is when my internet was at a snails pace and no webpages would load up for hours...might just be a coincidence?Huh

Either way, this current connection (from about 6:30am Sunday morning) I am on seems decent one, certainly the best one on the last week I would say.....Would the DLM still be doing its thing on my line?

Yeah the wholesale system updated on Sunday, and this wouldn't have any affect on your broadband connection. It's just an update to the system to provide us with more in-depth test results.

That's good to hear. The way DLM works is that it'll pretty much always be doing its thing.

Re: Request for a GEA test please.

Hi PN staff......can I get an updated GEA test and a screenshot of any new screens your systems now show you for my line.

Had another drop or 2 recently again but speeds seems to be still stuck at the 66Mbps area, so im guessing there is still some sort of banding going on there.

Thanks

Re: Request for a GEA test please.

Hi there,

There's not much to see from the connection logs for the past week, but that could be a good thing!

Here's an up to date GEA test, there are some new fields available to us which have been added by BT Wholesale but we've been advised not to go through these until we've all been fully trained so we know what we're dealing with.

Let us know if there's anything else you might need from us.
