Re: Request faster upload speed

Really, with figures like that?  Can't be expected to get much better unless you live on top of the cabinet?

@colin99
Plusnet use the lower values for deciding which package they will provide and that is 40Mbps on FTTC A and even lower on FTTC B

Re: Request faster upload speed

Well they said I could request Fibre Extra so I'm going to have to assume that to be the case.  I'll report back here in about two weeks.  Wish me luck...

Re: Request faster upload speed

Installed yesterday.  According to http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/, now getting:
Download 32.39 Mb/s Upload 10.91 Mb/s
I'm pretty happy with that, because it was upload speed I really needed to improve. Smiley
The router is a bit basic.  Having a job fixing my remote control CCTV and Heater controls.  Port forwarding seems very clunky and still haven't got it to work.  May invest in a better router.

Re: Request faster upload speed

Actually I think it was 80/20 I got.  It has on occasion given me a download of 41+, and the BT chap said that anything over 39kb/s download has to be a 80 connection.  But the profile will change over time.
Presently it says:
IP Profile for your line is - 48.7 Mbps
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps
Though the actual speeds I'm getting right now in the middle of the day are not so great at 17.68 Mbps/7.54 Mbps, it was better last night.
We're over 500m from the cabinet, so it's not worked out too badly considering.
