Remove Banding request

Hi,

I've joined with unlimited FTTC product about a month ago and was getting stable 50+ down. Unfortunately during the training period, my house was being redecorated and the painters kept disconnecting/reconnecting my modem and as a consequence it looks like I've had banding set to 23. Am not syncing above it anymore. Would you be able to remove banding please? Am plugged into the master socket now and hopefully no more funny business with the modem.

Modem stats below (Draytek used as modem)  - sorry the formatting is a bit off, invalid html issue for some reason and I can't seem to get it lined up correctly!

thanks for your help.

Re: Remove Banding request

Thanks for your post @v209 and welcome to our Community Forums.

I'm sorry to see your speeds have slowed down.

I've run checks down your line and I can see your download speed is banded at 22.4mbps, but the tests are also showing several other issues, which may all be linked together into one problem.

I'm seeing a high resistance fault, a bridge tap (generally a wiring issue) and a "dis in network", this is a disconnection somewhere along the line, likely affecting your home phone if you have one, but it can also slow fibre down.

I can't arrange your line to be reset while there are faults showing as these will likely make your line get banded again, but I've raised a fault with Openreach, and we've been given an estimated response time of by 26/07/21 23:59:59 for an engineer to go out and investigate further.

I've raised a support ticket on your account and we'll provide an update Here as soon as we know more.

Once we've confirmed the fault to be fixed, if your speeds are still slow, let me know and I'll be happy to take another look.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
