Re: Recurring speed drops.

I'd say that it's not necessarily a problem with your connection speed but with throughput. Could even be congestion. My Internet connection only manages 12mbs on a good day but I can easily stream good quality Netflix, iPlayer, you tube , internet radio ,  music and so forth. I'd be inclined to Check your Wi-Fi signal  and also as mentioned previously,  see if you can find out what the data throughput is. those speeds you have are perfectly adequate to stream any video.  Also some details and statistics from your router would help, as would an idea of what kind of account you have subscribed to, and which exchange you're  connected to.

just saying your speeds are bad,  doesn't give much to go on! Speed isn't everthing .

Re: Recurring speed drops.

1. Not receiving contracted speed.
2. Wi-Fi network is fine.
3. speed drops, seem to affect latency and jitter.
4. Netflix loses connection and picture breaks up during watching.
5. speed still down a third, it always seems to be a third speed drop?

Re: Recurring speed drops.

hi feet

In which case if you have followed all the advice on the plus net member portal site regarding problems with your internet , including checking and testing the phone line for faults, you should raise a fault with Plus Net and ask them to investigate the causes of your symptoms.

My feeling is that you are suffering from congestion rather than any physical fault.
