Recent Fibre upgrade but still same speed
Hope there is a Plus net tech there who can help. Recently upgraded from Broadband to Fibre and been connected for past 6 days. (expecting a speed fluctuation while the line settles or whatever) However the speed is identical to my previous broadband. Been through all the checks, (main connection, wired connection, wifi, router reset, microfilter check etc etc.) and carried out multiple speed checks on phone, wired laptop and wireless computer.
Always still at 6.5 Mbps rather than the promised 50 -73 or whatever.
Am i missing something or have Plus net forgotten to switch something on?
By the time i am home from work (usually between 7-8pm), live chat isn't available and i can't seem to find a simple email address to send my query to.
Please help! as We are paying extra / tied into a contract for something with the same service as before!

I'm guessing you've had an email saying your account change has completed?
If so that email is totally misleading and you are probably still on ADSL until such time as an engineer visits your cabinet to connect you to FTTC - that's often a couple of weeks later.
