@Baldrick1 I've power-cycled the modem a couple of times, I think I'm going to have to practice that rare act of patience.

@djbenson  If you have a Static WAN IP the Plusnet "current line speed" is restricting your download speed. It isn't a measured speed at all but a profile or cap which should track the BT IP profile but can fail to do so. You need to get Plusnet to update it.

@RealAleMadrid almost as soon as you posted that an update dropped into my twitter inbox to say exactly the same thing. Funny how I got two different answers from the same conversation about the origin of that value but the second person spotted it was capping my speed and did something their end which has removed the restriction.

Much healthier now.
