Random disconnections every 5 - 10 days

I would say that my fibre broadband connection is generally excellent but I'm puzzled by random daytime disconnections every 5 to 10 days.which I would say started a few months ago.

I used to notice the occasional overnight connection drop and reconnect which I assumed would be down to planned works somewhere in the systems but these daytime disconnections seem more frequent than they used to be and have me puzzled.

The router quickly re-establishes connection but this is curious.

The (Draytek) router has been up for about a month (since we had a short power cut in the street) and measured speed is as normal (roughly 68 down & 18.5 up).

I see nothing to make me suspect a problem other than these disconnections which I didn't notice (say) a year ago.

No big issue but inconvenient if I'm in the middle of something.

Sorry to hear you're having issues.

We've tested your line and it's not showing any cause for this.

Is it possible for you to connect the Hub One up for a couple of weeks to see if this has the same issue?

It's not enough of an issue to merit using the Hub One (even "outside" the Draytek).

More of a puzzle than anything else.

There is a newer firmware for the Draytek. I'll see if that helps !

I'll give it a couple of weeks and see how firmware 3.8.9.3_BT goes.

I'll report back either way.

After 15 days absolutely solid connection I'm inclined towards the latest Draytek firmware fixing this for some reason.

I'll give it another couple of weeks before concluding it's fixed but I'm optimistic.

I've now been connected without any interruption for more than a month (31 days and counting).

It seems like the problem was either in the previous Draytek firmware or, for some reason, upgrading reset something (I kept the existing configuration and didn't use .rst firmware).

I've found 3.8.9.3_BT stable.
