I wouldn't discount crosstalk because of the GEA Test result - I thought it very rarely says crosstalk detected. I think it may only ever say crosstalk detected if the line has vectoring, although I'm not sure about this. Perhaps it also says crosstalk detected if there are excessive levels of crosstalk.
It also says no impact for the observed interference. It would says errors or retrains there if there were an impact detected.

Re crosstalk, OP is ok, mine appeared on the last GEA, all others prior to this were clear.
Due to more people piling on to the dslam, which has a 128 line extension on the side. (and is too far away!!)

I'm sure there will be lots and lots of people who have lost speed over months and years, due to crosstalk, and their GEA test will say not detected for crosstalk.

Re vectoring, the Vigor 2860 does not appear to show this in dsl status unless this is appropriate?
Path Mode | Fast | Fast | ||
Interleave Depth | 1 | 1 |
Trellis | ON | ON | ||
Bitswap | ON | ON |
Also not sure if it would show G-INP status.
Please can you clarify?
Thanks

Apparently Drayteks put the words Vectoring Active somewhere if it is.
G.INP (retransmission) is labelled ReTx.

Thanks for the reply.
I would expect that the G.INP status will popup if its active, the dslam is a Huawei version.
There it is in all its glory.
Thanks for your assistance.

Hi
Apologies for hijacking the thread a bit, but I wanted to ensure you got a realistic comparison from someone on a similar length of line.
Clearly there is an issue somewhere.
Not sure if you can get anymore info out of your modem, hope you get it resolved.

@dws1900 no problem at all with your input (not hijacking). It's been very helpful as it's good to be able to compare to real-world results on a similar line length.
My modem is an unlocked Huawei HG612 connected to a Huawei cabinet. I have DSLstats capturing and recording connection info from it. My latest full connection stats data is below (vectoring unconfigured but G.INP active):

Hi,
There is no figure for the upstream attenuation, my stats below.
Not sure why this stat is missing.
