The Hub One is the same internally as the BT Home Hub 5 Type A

@Zad - you are better off getting a hub one/hh5. BT has now implemented G.INP on the downlink only and the said hardware support it on downlink only Wink

Re: Progressive 8Mb/s drop in 3 weeks on a solid line

Cheers both! I'll start saving for a Hub One then. If nothing else then I may have better WiFi with it. I had another (double) resynch just now, at around 1am. Ping is now back down to 11ms, and another 5Mb/s has reappeared again (hurrah!) despite being connected to bng02.

Fri 29/04/16 01:14 42.51 Mbps 42.14 Mbps 10.58 Mbps
Thu 28/04/16 18:38 37.64 Mbps 37.47 Mbps 10.56 Mbps

The TBB speed test did give me a minor heart attack when it shot up to 52Mb/s for a couple of seconds. The BT Wholesale profile seems to have changed too - very odd. The min acceptable now is higher than the actual speed before the resynch tonight. An IP profile 10Mb/s above what I am getting seems rather a lot, so maybe there is some headroom for further improvement.

Download speed achieved during the test was - 41.81 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 36.36 Mbps-51.94 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 51.94 Mbps

Re: Progressive 8Mb/s drop in 3 weeks on a solid line

Curiouser and curiouser... Resynch this evening around 8pm, so I guess the line management software isn't detecting noise and tweaking things. TBB tester is now giving 48.65Mbs, a gain of 6.6Mbs on the previous rate. I don't think I have had it that fast since I first had it installed! Let us hope it remains at that speed. Ping remains the same.

BTWholesale shows:

Download speed achieved during the test was - 48.39 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speed is 36.36 Mbps-51.94 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 51.94 Mbps
