Profile issue for 40/10 upload speed?

Hi,
I'm meant to be on a 40/10 service, but speedtest.net always reports my upload speeds as circa 1.85 Mbps. BT line estimation suggests I should receive about 6.5 Mbps upload and about 28 - 33 download.

Shouldn't I receive a higher upload speed around 5Mpbs + - line speed suggests upload syncing at 6736 if I'm reading this correctly. Spoke to tech support several times already and I've updated this on a ticket.

The tester at http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/PerformanceTesterWS/diagnostics.do reports I'm on a 40/10 profile, but that I'm only getting 0.7Mbs upload on this test (speedtest.net is higher pretty much rock-solid at 1.85Mpbs).
I note that others supposedly on 40/10 profiles are also complaining about 40/2 profile-type upload speeds receiving 1.85Mbps: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,147223.0.html

I don't believe PlusNet offer a 40/10 product, its been 40/2 for a while now.
Thankfully I got my 40/20 before that came in

What date you join Plusnet ? If after June 2015, then the upload speed is 2Mbps maximum.
If you were on the original FTTC trail (who I believe was 10Mbps upload back in the day) or joined prior to June 2015, then have you recently agreed a new discounted deal which may have altered you to a 2Mbps max upload speed?

I am on the 40/10 package aswell and although speedtest results show im getting 6.87mbps upload i can actually not achieve higher than 240kbps no matter what time of day i try or which site i use.I am beginning to think that despite my higher sync im being limited to the 2mbps upload cap that new users have.

You haven't inadvertently switched on "Quality of Service" (QOS) on the router have you ?
Someone did that recently which meant that their upload speed has limited by the router as per the QOS settings.

I only switched to Fibre about 3 months ago and am also on 40/10 (not that I mind)

Is there a throttle configured in place somewhere?
