Power outages - do I need to ask Plusnet to reset?

We suffered a few power outages in the area recently, and I think we're seeing a lower broadband throughput since then. Might this be because the repeated router shutdowns have 'told the line' that it's dropping data?

Put another way, do I need to ask a Plusnet staffer to reset the speed adjustment on my line?

(Typically we've gone from nearly 70mbps to 40-50mps, and commensurately slower uploads.)

Thanks!

Together with our network partners at Openreach we will try to provide you with the best speeds possible. If you feel this is not the case, please raise your speed fault online at faults.plus.net

Oh do please read the question. Plusnet and I have been through the wringer over the years with Openreach issues. Old hand. The question wasn't about chronic throughput deficit, it was about the throttling applied when multiple router resets occur - and the potential for them to be misread as line errors.
