Possible Speed Cap

Can anyone at Plusnet give me advice on this.

I am on the Fibre plus package and have been told my line is capable of between 35-50mb download, I have spoken to online chat that tell me my profile is at 80mb but my TP Link router shows the following speeds, the current rate as always been like that for both upload and download, 6000kbps and 39998kbps respectively, even though the router is saying the maximum speed is higher.

Is there a reason my router is not connecting upto the maximum rate or is it a possible issue with the router like online chat are suggesting.

Re: Possible Speed Cap

Looking at the stats on this and your previous thread in 2016 I would say you are on the normal Fibre product, not the Fibre extra.  There would be very little point in paying for the Extra as your line seems unable to cope with faster upload speeds, and you would only benefit a small amout on download.

Re: Possible Speed Cap

@skimarqueshc Thanks for the PM.

I've checked the line and I can see your line has been provisioned correctly.

The reason the speeds are lower is because they've been capped by DLM.

I've asked a colleague to see if we can get this reset for you.

@skimarqueshc Sorry to hear that.

I've re-requested this for you and it should go through overnight.
