Hi, I'm unable to open ports / port-forward. Can someone help me please?
I have contacted the plus net support line and they have trouble-shooted with me and said I need to now seek help on the forum here.
Here is the scenario:
I have a BT Open Reach fibre modem and fibre broadband.
I have disabled wlan and connected my PC to the Modem LAN port and set up a new connection successfully (connecting to the web).
I disabled my plus net firewall (portal.plus.net)
I disabled my windows and 3rd party security firewalls.
I go to http://canyouseeme.org/
I check multiple ports. All are block apart from 135.
Please can you suggest further actions to troubleshoot or repair this?
Thanks
K

What are you trying to achieve? Disabling every firewall and connecting a PC to the FTTC modem doesn't sound like a good idea.
A port will still appear to be "closed" if there is no program running and ready to accept incoming connections on that port. Port 135 will be some Windows service that's wide open to the Internet.
