Port Forwarding Content Not Available

hi all,
just plugged in my new plus net router today for my super fast fibre  Cheesy Cheesy
having an issue with forwarding ports 80 and 443, when i use the routers predefined games/applications lists for http and https and select the device i want to add these too nothing happens!  I click the add button and nothing happens, it doesnt show up in the table below that they are forwarded or does the page even load to suggest it has processed the request to forward.
I then manually tried to configure port 80 and 443 under a new game/application name on the router and when i click add it says "Sorry!  You're not allowed to access this content.".
Can anyone help?
Thanks very much in advance

Re: Port Forwarding Content Not Available

I've been struggling with port forwarding on my new router that was delivered yesterday. I'm presuming you have the same Sagem 2704N router.
I was able to manually add a new game/application to the table, but I was struggling to get the device I wanted the port forwarding on to show in the list of connected devices.
It would appear at times and then disappear. I managed to associate the new game/application name to the device at one point, but then the device disappeared again.
It is the same device that sat perfectly on the old TG582 router for over 18 months with port forwarding and no issues.
Not sure why you are getting the "Sorry" message. Did you access the router by going in on the main menu through http://192.168.1.254? There is another way in through http://192.168.1.254/expert_user.html, but if I recall correctly this doesn't give the port forwarding options anyway Sad
In the end I abandoned the new router and upgraded the firmware on the old router to turn it into an FTTC router. It is now working fine in this mode with no change in speed as tested on the PC connected to it.
I lost the will to live trying all sorts of combinations on the new router. So I'm sticking with the old for now Smiley

Re: Port Forwarding Content Not Available

The first think I created in the game/application list was settings for our security cameras
Applied them to the device no problem.
Now releasing I can't delete the device from lost now or edit.  Looks like it has froze in that list.
Tried restarting a number of times to no result and of course when I contact plus net support they don't support port forwarding.
Anyone else have any ideas?Huh

You are kidding me  Shocked Roll_eyes
Well that's disgusting. But I'm afraid a number of people have been having issues with port forwarding on this 2704n. I'm surprised that you are having a problem deleting a device from the list, as the Edit & Delete are there on the Port Forwarding tab (as attached image, but I can't comment directly as I don't use port forwarding myself atm. If all else fails try a Factory Reset.
As far as ports 80 & 443 are concerned they are already pre-defined and you can't  "duplicate" them, you may be able to edit them, but there are a number of threads about port forwarding problems I've listed some below that may help.

Note however, some things that may work for the ADSL setup may not work for the Fibre setup and visa versa. We are still playing about with these.
