Port 1 & 4 on modem faulty.

Hi,
Lately we have been having problems when connected to ports 1 and 4 via ethanet directly to a PC and the same problem when we connect to a router.
Here is the event log:

Re: Port 1 & 4 on modem faulty.

I have noticed the connection goes into limbo (thats the only way I can describe it) when port forwarding has been manually edited.

We need to manually to port forward via advanced settings because none of the applications/games are listed. Example: webmin (10000) & MySQL (3306)

Re: Port 1 & 4 on modem faulty.

Is this the Sagemcom 2704N router? I had issues with it going 'nuts' when port forwarding to 'Unknown' addresses with the MAC address attached (which by the looks of your log you are). Possibly if you set up DNS for the machines on the LAN, then it should appear in the 'Assigned to' list by name rather than MAC address, and that might help.

Re: Port 1 & 4 on modem faulty.

Not sure if it's a 2704N (Quick google showed an even more ugly looking one) it's a Sagem(com) and it looks a bit like Arnold's head with "Plusnet" written on the front (see attachment: http://prntscr.com/ag67lh)
The "router" name is "unknown" because no matter what I set it to, it always came uip as unknown. No idea why. I think the problem could be IP Lease times, default set to 24 hours and cannot be changed. IIRC lease times should NOT apply to static IPs as they don't need a new IP!
System layout is the exact same as it was on Virginmedia just set to a different IP to suit Plusnet hub.
Thanks.
