Poor speeds

Hi,

My Broadband has been upgraded to Fibre Extra.

My downstream is roughly 20 Mbps and upstream is around 0.5 Mbps. It shows that speeds should be at least 50 down and 10 up. Should I wait a little bit longer to activate or is it an issue with the router or phone line?

Kind Regards, Mikolaj

Re: Poor speeds

I plugged the router to master socket because previously it was connected to an extended socket in a different room.

Nothing really happened.

Minimum downstream should be around 45-55 Mbps, and It's around 15-20 Mbps.

Minimum upstream should be around 7-10, and It's around 0.45 Mbps (that's the worst).

I bought Unlimited Fibre Extra

I spoke with Tech Support via phone and I've been told that speeds supposed to change today around 6 o clock but nothing happened apart from 5-7 Mbps more on downstream.

I would appreciate any help. I'm waiting with the new router around 3 weeks now and I'm concerned If I need to change a provider or not.

Kind Regards.

Re: Poor speeds

On hub settings it still appears that I have:

Line state: Connected
Connection time: 0 days, 01:06:52
Downstream: 26.84 Mbps
Upstream: 542 Kbps

Re: Poor speeds

getting sick of this so tried another Ethernet cable and in a different port on router but still no speed increase.

so dug out and old bt usb wifi and the download speed was 30.

must be something wrong with the cable connections on router or on computer?
