Pole to socket wire replaced - do I need to do anything to get any potential speed improvement?

After several months of dodgy internet and crackly phone calls during windy days or heavy rain, I finally got PN / BT to replace the cable from the street pole to my master socket.

No more crackling on the line etc, so that is a good sign.

Is there anything I need to do at my end to get my router to note the hopefully improved line quality and potentially increase my speeds? Or will it automatically retrain itself?

Apologies if this is a dumb question.

Only thing you can do is to ensure that the router (and modem if you use a 2 box approach) are left switched on 24/7.

The FTTC cabinet will monitor the line and make any adjustments as it sees fit. Or not as it is a law unto itself.
