Plusnet self install coming very soon?

BT Wholesale announced yesterday they are commercially launching two new commercial fibre products from 1 June:
Quote
- FTTC Self Install
- FTTC Managed install using a Customer Provided Modem/Router.

Will Plusnet be launching their self install service on the back of this (assuming they have a working and conformity passed FTTC modem/router)?

No news at the moment I've afraid, when we have something to announce we'll make sure to tell you.

Re: Plusnet self install coming very soon?

can you clarify what is meant by - FTTC Managed install using a Customer Provided Modem/Router. - as a managed install implies that an engineer will attend and that the ISP will provide the modem instead of him arriving with it

@ Chris - We await with eager anticipation.
@ Oldjim - That's what it will be. The engineer will fit the VDSL front plate to the NTE5 and use the ISP supplied router/modem instead of supplying an OR modem.

Re: Plusnet self install coming very soon?

OR have extended it a bit, so from 1 Jan 2016 they will no longer supply OR modems for new installs. However, they will continue to support the existing OR modems (i.e. replace faulty ones as part of a repair fault) until 1 Jan 2017.
