Right now we're in a new road in a completely fibre enabled area (Walton on Thames) and if we search on houses just outside our road we can order fibre broadband. In fact there is a fibre green box at the end of our road.
BT Wholesale reports full availability for our house:
eatured Products |
Downstream Line Rate(Mbps) |
Upstream Line Rate(Mbps) |
Downstream Range(Mbps) |
WBC FTTC Availibility Date |
WBC SOGEA Availibility Date |
||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
High | Low | High | Low | ||||
VDSL Range A (Clean) | 57.5 | 43.6 | 13.6 | 8.8 | -- | Available | -- |
VDSL Range B (Impacted) | 43.7 | 22.4 | 11 | 5.3 | -- | Available | -- |
Openreach do too, but also say:
"Your cabinet is enabled for Superfast fibre however you're not able to order fibre just yet."
I assume that this is a capacity issue, but there is no way of finding out. It could be something else, but it seems unlikely given the mass of fibre availability all around us.
So, Plusnet, we're a customer, please help us find out what we can do, or what you can do. There are at least 8 houses here gagging for decent connections and better YouView access, and the ability to reliably stream movies without waiting 15 minutes for them to start. Lots of potential revenue!
Anyone else solved this problem before?
Thanks,
Jason.

Could you Pm me your username and I'll check a few things tomorrow when I'm in, capacity issues are usually shown as "waiting list" rather than available.
