Plusnet hib one, wireless clients maximum?

Hi, I have a plusnet hub 1. I find that if I go over 10-12 wireless connections it either maxes out and wont allow another wireless client to connect or it locks up the home network requiring a router restart?

Does anyone else have a similar issue? Its been like this since I got it!

If this router is not up to my needs, what alternatives do I have?

many thanks

If you're looking for a router somewhat better, there's a good list and discussions of Fibre broadband routers here:

Thanks, is my problem likely to be the "quality" of the supplied router then?

Took a quick scan of that list, but dont really know what I am looking for, suspect pay more get better!

Re: Plusnet hib one, wireless clients maximum?

I can't honestly say if it's the supplied router causing this wireless issue, I never used my PN Hub 1 (BT HH5A) long enough to assess the wireless performance. The lack of config options together with a very poor VDSL connection was enough for me to dump it.

The router I use at present is a ZyXel VMG8924-B10A:  it does everything I need and more, cost £40 from ebay Wink

My preference would be one with a BCM chipset, others may will disagree,  but the main thing is to read the discussions on that forum.
