Plusnet fibre new contract query

I recently signed a new contract with Plusnet to be able to the new Plusnet Hub One.  I am on Plusnet Fibre Extra (or was it seems).  I just got an email through saying my product change is complete to
Broadband product Plusnet Unlimited Fibre
Estimated speed 38Mbps to 40Mbps
I am paying the price of £19.99 for Fibre Extra, why is this only saying Plusnet Unlimited Fibre?
Many thanks

Re: Plusnet fibre new contract query

Give them a call mate ,,
To be fair I thought the extra package was £10 a month for first 6 months then £19.99 or is for new customers only ?

Re: Plusnet fibre new contract query

Ok cool
Then you just need to get your product changed to Extra seeing as your paying for it ....
You might get lucky and someone read this and do the change for you ....
I'd be on the phone though if it was me

@timalay
I would double check if you have been set-up correctly by following the advice given in this forum thread http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,143836.0.html

Re: Plusnet fibre new contract query

Speed are fine (above 50Mbps wired), I just thought I might have been moved to the up to 38Mpbs package.

Re: Plusnet fibre new contract query

Apologies for any confusion with the package name(s).
Plusnet Unlimited Fibre - This is the legacy 80/20 £19.99 package
Unlimited Fibre - 40/20 or 40/2 depending when you signed up to it. £14.99
Unlimited Fibre Extra - This replaced the legacy package, but is still 80/20 and £19.99
I'm not sure why you received an email advising of 40Mbps speeds, as everything else on the account says 80/20 Huh I'll flag this and up to try and find out why this has happened.

Re: Plusnet fibre new contract query

Just to update, just looked my broadband package under change my broadband, and it still says I'm on Plusnet Unlimited Fibre (38Mb - 40Mb download speed (estimated)
1Mb - 2Mb upload speed (estimated)), even thought I'm getting excess of these speeds. (around 59Mb down, and 15Mb up)  :-S

Looks like you're getting the right product but the systems are telling you that you're on the 40/2.

Be very wary!!!! I've just renewed my contract for 80/20 & I ended up on 40/2!! It was rectified pretty quickly once I realised that my speeds had dropped, however it was still extremely inconvenient. These days, when so many users rely on the "cloud" for so many things, I fail to understand how PN can supply a completely useless 2 Mbps upload speed.

Re: Plusnet fibre new contract query

2mb upload is not useless, especially for those that can't get much more than 20mb on fibre.
Think what they'd get on ADSL? I'd be happy with 2mb upload, some places ADSL upload is so slow so 2mb is a bonus.

Re: Plusnet fibre new contract query

I deliberately selected a 40/2 contract when I switched to fibre.
Most of my usage is streaming NowTV, Netflix etc etc with minimal uploading.
