Plusnet estimated 80M, only getting 40M

I've been on Plusnet fiber almost 6 months now, but I'm only getting half the speeds estimated by Plusnet.

I attach the relevant info. Any idea what the issue is? Perhaps my IP profile is stuck low for some reason.

Whilst I understand that the estimates for your line are very good, you are on the lower of our 2 FTTC products. This is provided on a 40 down, 2 up wholesale service which is why you're seeing speeds of around 35Mb/s.

From your sync speed it is obvious your are on a 40/2 service. Are you supposed to be on Unlimited Fibre Extra? i.e. 80 Mbps download. You may have been put on the wrong product.

When I signed up, at no point was I aware there were '2 FTTC products'. So you gave me the higher estimate then put me on the lower product? There is only 1 product as a customer surely - 'Unlimited Fibre' the one I signed up to.

How do I find out the 'FTTC' product' I'm on, and what are my options to get the speeds you estimated?

IIRC 40/2 is unlimited fibre and 80/20 is unlimited fibre extra Smiley

OK, it makes sense. I must just be on the 'Unlimited Fiber' product with 40M max, in which case everything is fine Smiley

Please don't send me emails saying I should get 80M.

The product you are on is shown at the top of the View My Brodband Usage display panel.
