Plusnet Fibre and Samknows Streaming Video Reports

Just wondering if anyone wants to compare reports?

It would look like Netflix and iPlayer have max stream limits. Youtube seems to suffer congestion somewhere.

Interesting, so we're all consistent on Netflix, fairly consistent on iPlayer but Youtube seems to be the one where there's the most variation.

Can you guys check if your router is assigning an ipv6 address to the Samknows box please, for link-local etc

Mine is - the reporting is also in v6. Not sure if the testing is IPv4 or IPv6 though.

Re: Plusnet Fibre and Samknows Streaming Video Reports

Ok Andy, thanks for checking for me. My iplayer tests are not working so I guess it has something to do with ipsec/ipv6.
I have my DHCPv6 server disabled here, I am guessing.....

It's a bit strange though as why it wouldn't work.
If you disable v6 RADVD, does that make a difference?

Re: Plusnet Fibre and Samknows Streaming Video Reports

I've turned that off now, I'll see if it has reported by the morning(I'm not holding my breath), the dev team was having a look apparently... but I locked the port down I opened for them over the weekend because I have no way of seeing what is moving through the firewall with this 2704n  :-\. If it hasn't reported by the morning I'll re-open the port for them and re-enable RADVD.
It makes not much sense atm why youtube/netflix work perfectly but not iplayer.
The tg582n is beckoning me.........

Re: Plusnet Fibre and Samknows Streaming Video Reports

Good news, they have sorted the problem out. Just for the reference, turning off RADVD had no effect.
Youtube gets lower and lower while the other 2 appear stable, how odd.
