@Townman - Think there's been a bit too much focus on "wifi interference" and the usual channel nonsense going on here .. Don't forget the first statement made was "my wired connection as well as the wifi connection keep cutting out"
It's not going to matter which of the 2.4 or 5 Ghz you connect to, or what channels it broadcasts on if even the wired connection doesn't work properly.. @helenbousfield - is a wired connection still just as unreliable?

Hi @helenbousfield,
Along side finding the information @OskarPapa has requested, could you kindly ensure that the settings on your device are default by following the guide below.
1) Go to start (Windows flag in the bottom right)
2) Click settings (gear icon)
3) Head to 'Network & Internet' and ensure Ethernet is selected on the left then click 'Network and Sharing Center'
4) Go to 'Change adapter settings'
5) Right click on 'Ethernet' and go to 'Properties'
6) Double click 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)'
7) In here 'Obtain an IP address automatically' & 'Obtain DNS server address automatically' are selected and press OK
Once complete, connect by Ethernet cable to see if the issue reoccurs. Could you also confirm if you experience these disconnection on all of your devices?
Thank you.

You might be right; the PlusNET initial assessment was a WiFi issue. There is always some possibility that a device starting off being WiFi connected and then having a cable plugged in still chooses the WiFi connection / routing UNLESS WiFi has been expressly disabled on that device.
It would not be the first time in such scenarios that a user has plugged in a cable, seen the same issue, presuming that the device is connecting over Ethernet. It is an easy mistake to make.
In this situation for diagnostic purposes it would be beneficial to switch off WiFi on the test device, if not able to turn off WiFi on the router altogether.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
