Plusnet Fibre Broadband vs Fibre Extra

I'm looking to get a broadband connection for my holiday flat. I only need it for email, browsing the web and streaming music. It won't be for gaming or streaming movies though.

I've looked at the comparison below and see there is £3 difference between 36mb and 66mb

My question is do you think 36mb is sufficient for my needs? In particular I'm concerned about streaming music. Will 36mb be ok for this?

36Mbps should be more than sufficient for the needs you've listed.

Music streaming requires nowhere near 36Mb/sec!. It needs between 384 kbps and 2Mbs depending on the quality.

Anyway, 66Mb may not be available, depending on how far you are from the cabinet. What does the dslchecker say is the estimated speed for your line https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/ . 

NB if you post the information from that , make sure you redact the phone number as this is a public forum

@debbiejones1999 Remember the checker may be quoting an "up to speed"

I'm on a solid 37 download and easily stream content to my TV via Chromecast. To give you an idea I had no problems doing this when I was receiving around 6 down.
