Plusnet Fiber Extra (Please help with bad speed/reliability)

Hello there,

We used to be with Plusnet broadband with a very stable connection and have now transferred to Plusnet Fiber Extra, our estimated speed are near 80/20 but we are getting far less than that and the reliability of the connection in relation to stable speed/latency is bad. sometimes it scores in the 20Mbit, sometimes it goes up to 67Mbit and once in the speed checker it jumped to 110 Mbit at one point! The upload is near 18Mbit most of the time but has jumped to 22 once.

I have attached some stats from the Hub one, if you could kindly help. It's a new fiber cabinet with a new fiber cable and our house is in a new development so the copper cables are not old at all.

Are you having problems over wired or wireless?

Seems you are connected at the speed you should be. You noticing the speed issues during peak hours or all the time?

I have only had the connection for two days now.  Max I am getting over wired now is 67,  the estimate for the line was 78.

Also I used to get 32 latency on copper broadband in League of Legends and now i get 42, and the setup internally hasn't changed

Re: Plusnet Fiber Extra (Please help with bad speed/reliability)

Sounds like a gateway issue, try not to reboot anymore or DLM will punish you. In future log in and click disconnect and then connect to gateway jump if you notice slow downs.

Re: Plusnet Fiber Extra (Please help with bad speed/reliability)

Sometimes gateways have a little fit, cause high latency and slow speeds. You can just login to router and what they call gateway hop (Disconnect & Connect)

If it happens again, can you visit Here and let us know the gateway Cool smiley

Re: Plusnet Fiber Extra (Please help with bad speed/reliability)

disconnected and reconnected to

gateway pcl-bng03.

This is located in City Lifeline House.

Speed remains at 20-30Mbits on a 80Mbit connection.
