PlusNet Modem disconnects and reconnects by itself. Normal?

My fibre connection just went down and then reconnected. Looking at the hubs logs I see
19:55:42, 16 Mar. (417119.270000) PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request]
and it happened yesterday too
19:06:15, 15 Mar. (327753.760000) PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request]
Is this normal? Fibre was activated last Friday.
In between these we also had
22:30:21, 15 Mar. (339999.730000) PPP LCP Send Termination Request [PPPoE PADT received]
22:30:21, 15 Mar. (339999.730000) PPPoE is down after 201 minutes uptime [Disconnected]
My fibre download speeds are below what was estimated, but currently waiting a few days to see if these improve. Currently they are around 21 Mbps down when estimate was for 30-40, and around 28 Mbps was initially experienced.

What I do not understand is that these say "User request". No one is logged onto the hub and requesting the disconnection and re connection. If there has to be a daily re connection, at least do it in the middle of the night!

My guess is you have a new PlusNet modem/router which is basically a rebadged BT Home Hub 5?
If so, try looking up PPP LCP Sent Termination Request on BT's forum, the problem has been around for years and was one of the reasons I left BT and bought my own equipment. People are still complaining about it now.
No problems with random disconnects since moving to my current ZYXEL SBG3300-N two years ago, prior to that I could disconnect four times or more an hour on the BT HomeHub 5A!

I remember having this issue with the BT HH in years gone by. It generally seems to almost a generic error message that can be caused by a number of issues.
But when I went back to the stand-alone modem no issues or random re-syncs anymore.
