Hello, I have recently found that my Ping has risen from around 9 to 24, my download speed has decreased from 35Mb/s to 30Mb/s and my upload speed has decreased from 6.8Mb/s to 5.3Mb/s. These results are from speedtest.net.
My connection seems to be stable, with no noticeable packet loss or disconnects.
Line rate : 37580 kbps down, 6343 up
Attainable rate : 43204 kbps down, 7735 kbps up
SNR margin : 6.2 dB down, 6 dB up
Line Attenuation : 24.4dB Down, 0 dB up
BTW Performance test
Download : 30 Mbps
Upload : 5.3 Mbps
Ping : 30 ms
Download speedachieved during the test was - 30.04 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 25.46 Mbps-36.38 Mbps .
IP Profile for your line is - 36.38 Mbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 5.3Mbps
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps
We were unable to identify any performance problem with your service at this time.
I know that download speeds can decrease, but I didn't think they would drop that much (roughly 15%) and I am quite concerned in the ping increase. Could there be something wrong with my line or some restriction?
Many Thanks
DZ

It looks like interleaving has been turned on which is why your ping times have increased.
Your current profile is "0.128M-80M Downstream, Interleaving Low - 0.128M-20M Upstream, Interleaving On"
In terms of the speed the profile on our end was set too low. I've increased this now so if you disconnect then reconnect it'll increase.

Thank you Matthew for looking at this.
I have disconnected and reconnected, however I see no improvement in download speed.
BTW Performance test
Download 29.15 Mbps
Upload 5.74 Mbps
Ping 42.38
Download speedachieved during the test was - 29.15 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 21.07 Mbps-30.1 Mbps .
IP Profile for your line is - 30.1 Mbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 5.74Mbps
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps
We were unable to identify any performance problem with your service at this time.
If anything, the new results from BTW test show that my "IP profile" has been reduced from 36Mbps to 30Mbps and the "the acceptable range of speeds" is down from 25.46 Mbps-36.38 Mbps to 21.07 Mbps-30.1 Mbps.
I presume that I would need to just wait for interleaving to be reduced/removed, although I do find it strange as I had a very stable line before it was applied and have had no problems with packet loss or disconnections.
Thanks
DZ

Quote from: Matthew In terms of the speed the profile on our end was set too low. I've increased this now so if you disconnect then reconnect it'll increase.
It seems that my speed has not increased and my IP profile has been lowered after the change.
Before you changed the profile:
Quote from: drunkzombie For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 25.46 Mbps-36.38 Mbps .
IP Profile for your line is - 36.38 Mbps
After you changed the profile:

IP Profile for your line is - 30.1 Mbps
If anything, the new results from BTW test show that my "IP profile" has been reduced from 36Mbps to 30Mbps and the "the acceptable range of speeds" is down from 25.46 Mbps-36.38 Mbps to 21.07 Mbps-30.1 Mbps.

Hello, Please could you look at my profile again?
I think the Interleaving has been reduced/removed but now I think my speed is being capped by my IP profile.
See my previous post for before and after.
Many Thanks
DZ
