Ping/dropped packet issues
Hi
I'm having intermittent issues with an online game on my connection. Heroes of The Storm from Blizzasrd for some reason works some mnights, other nights give me anywhere between 30 and 2,000 ms of ping. I spoke to Blizzard directly about this and they asked me to run a tracert and pathping (both included at the end of the post) and they recommend that I speak to my ISP based on the results of the pathping.
I've been through the help centre to try and add a game to the traffic management list, but the pages it takes me to seem to be the same ones asking me to go to "My Broadband Connection > Broadband Gaming > Adding a game to our traffic management system." but I can't find that page anywhere. I'm running wireshark now, but I have to confess that I don't really understand what's going on...
However, in order to add a game to traffic management I need the name of the game:
-Heroes of The Storm
The Ports it uses
-TCP 1119, 3724
-UDP 1119, 3724
The IP address of a main gaming server used by the game
-213-155-155-233
Can anyone provide any insight please? I'm at a loss. I also don't seem to be able to raise a ticket anymore. The 'ask Jess' page is neither useful nor productive as it doesnt proivide any anwswers, or let me progress to raise a ticket
