Persistent bad connection

Hello everyone,
Back to have another whinge again

My internet is still running very poorly, it always takes a while for certain websites and apps to connect. Playing video games online is just as worse with laggy stuttering.

Plusnet have stated the line is stable and just to change the wireless channel and that’s it. I wish it was the actual solution, but unfortunately, it hasn’t helped at all. I have changed the channel, waited for 24hrs, and see if the connection stabilises and it doesn’t.

It’s getting to a point I just want to terminate my contract and get a MiFi dongle because I use to own one and it was much more stable than what I have now. This whole ordeal has made me very ill and frustrated.

I also was given a dead link by a staff member called Sammy ( faults.plus.net ) the page just goes completely white. I can’t use an Ethernet connection due to being one more person in the household.

I would appreciate any help.

Re: Persistent bad connection

@Eatpower

Try separating the 2.4 and 5GHz bands, see https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840

Try each band and use the best.

Re: Persistent bad connection

I tried it for a week and no improvement.

Starting to cheese me off to be honest.
