Hi @ashyt16

I've picked this up for you and updated the ticket to reflect the appointment that's been booked.

Best wishes

Dave

Re: Pants download and upload speeds after line fault. Is it normal?

OK update:

The engineer has been to the house and has checked and tested the wires. He says there are nos issues with the physical wires. Hre said it's likely the DLM has reacted to the previous fault on the line and reduced the speed to compensate. He atempted to do a rest 5 times, but it wouldn't take, so he said he would continue trying.

It looks like he had some success as the upload sync rate has now doubled and practivally back to it's previous rate, however the download sync seems to have dropped even further and my IP profile is now even lower.

The engineer said that if things don't go back to where they were before then to contact Plusnet as they issue must be on your side and may need a reset.

Can somebody therefore investigate this please, as I'm missing around 8mbps with regards to my download speed in comparison to what it was previously.

Re: Pants download and upload speeds after line fault. Is it normal?

Hi there @ashyt16,

I've just tested your line and I'm seeing a downstream sync rate of 21.1Mbps down which is within the top end of your estimates of 15-23Mbps.

It's looking like your back to expectations.

Can you confirm if you're still seeing an issue your side? or is the problem now resolved?

@Optimatts
Thanks, whatever you did has had a positive effect. As you mentioned the sync rate is near to what it used to be and my IP profile has raised itself.

Thanks Plusnet team for sorting this out. 👍

Re: Pants download and upload speeds after line fault. Is it normal?

Fix

That's great to hear @ashyt16

I don't believe we did anything on our side since the visit. We can't perform remote resets on fibre and they need to be done by the engineer manually.

Chances are the reset by the engineer did go through afterall and it just took some time for the line management to kick in.
