Packet loss past few days

Hey folks seems im getting massive packetloss at the moment so playing battlefield 4 is impossible, i would say it started Thursday possibly Friday and has since gotten worse.

I have looked online on how to identify the problem and came across a yt video using "ping -t  webaddress/ip" and also tracert if this is the correct methord to identy the issue i do not know but at least i tried. Hey i even bet their is an easier way to do what i did but below is a screenshot of the results (i ran tracert twice after i noticed it missed a hop)

Now maybe im wrong but surely i shouldnt get that much packet loss?
Setup is Modem > Asus Router > Pc - wired
Speed is 38mb

Oh one last thing i used a site called ping-test.net it says my ISP is UK Goverment Department for Work and Pensions.. When did they take you over? Im guessing they have ips similar to my current one or that site just is not that good.

I can't help you, but you are not alone with this. This thread has a lot of people with the same problem. https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/High-packet-loss-and-other-DNS-issues/td-p/1354749

Seems to be happening on certain IP's mainly 51.x

Thanks for that scott, did see that thread and have been checking out others.

Seems ive been moved to some new network with the 51.xxx IP range, good of them to give me notice that i would be experiencing issues as i re-installed windows lat night thinking that was the problem.

typical plusnet messing up again..

Yeah I feel your pain Sad I tried two different routers, powerline adapters, different wifi card, different cables and was tempted to re-install windows. Luckily I checked the forum before doing that though.

The 51.x IP's used to belong to DWP. If you provide me a link to the site that still thinks that's who they belong to then I'll get in touch.

I've commented about the packet loss some of you are seeing in other threads.

Edit: I see you've already provided the URL so I'll drop them a note.
