is there a mass outage on plusnet today, or is this local to me?

No mass outage. Can you try on your normal username and see if that connects?
There's no obvious issue on the line that I can see, I've run through a test and can see that you're in sync but the PPP just isn't connected.

ok is configured to use my normal account now and I have left it like that so there is no confusion on the fault.

We're not actually seeing the connection attempts, even when I test via BT Wholesale. Do you still have the Openreach modem and a router to use with it (just to rule out this being the cause). From what I've seen if this doesn't work you're probably going to need to open a fault ticket.

I am not keen on dropping my sync, but if you say I need to do this before you open the fault I guess I will do it.

Looks like the modem was the issue, it must have partially locked up stopping accepting traffic from the LAN.
