PPP authentication fault

Could this be down to being moved to the new network given that the connection to the cab is solid but can't connect to the internet after trying all the usual tests including changing router and connecting directly to the BT Modem

If not what are the likely causes - note this isn't my connection

Re: PPP authentication fault

Update

Can now access Plusnet sites but no others - could this be the new network transfer screwing things up

Re: PPP authentication fault

Have you changed password on the member site by any chance? Or has the router lost it's password?

Re: PPP authentication fault

nothing to do with that - all checked as part of the fault reporting

now that the Plusnet site can be accessed it was possible to login to the member centre and add a note to the fault ticket

Good job you can piggyback on my connection then

Re: PPP authentication fault

It's much appreciated, what's your favourite tipple?

Since the backward step I have repeated changing routers exercise with no improvement.

Re: PPP authentication fault

Just so long as you let me do the same when mine goes down again Thumbs_Up

All I need to do now is to find out how to set up one of my routers as a wireless repeater and invest in a wifi dongle for my Win 7 PC - or am I just being too pessimistic

Isn't it about time for the 72 hours for the fault report running out

Re: PPP authentication fault

That goes without saying!

It could depend on the definitions of  "72 hours" and the "start time" of those 72 hours!
