Hi
My new router has been syncing at 66.788Mbs for a few days but my Plusnet Profile is set to 61.2Mbs.
I have a static IP so could my profile be nudged up a little please.
Speed tests are running around 54mbs.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Sarah8987
I've nudged you up as far as we can!
Your connection needs to drop to get new profile - if you could do a power cycle and let us know once you're back up and running if you see the increase.
Thanks,
MoR

Here are the stats from my router
I did a BT speedtest (see below) (don't know how often Delta reports are actioned...if at all)
PN Profile is currently 61.4
Is this profile holding back my download speed of around 54Mbs?
PS I am on a static IP so the PN Profile has an effect (maybe a grandmother and eggs moment there.)
Download speedachieved during the test was - 54.92 Mbps Edited: to include BT speed test |

Hi Sarah,
I've raised the PN Profile to the max we can for you. The sync speeds look fine though, so you should be able to get a high speed. Please can you reset your router for me and try a wired speed test and let us know how it goes.

Hi
My router is synching consistently at 76.4Mbs but my PN Profile is 66.8Mbs.
Is it possible to squeeze a bit more out of my connection please.
P.S I am on a static IP.

Hi @Sarah8987,
Thanks for your post.
Having checked the account, I can see that your profile is currently set to 79.672, as shown below:
Current BRAS Profile (CVLAN Rate): 79672
Due to the profile shown above we aren't able to realistically effect any kind of increase in speeds.
What speeds are you showing via your wired Ethernet connection?

Hi @OskarPapa
Thanks for your reply.
Sorry, I was referring to the 'Current Line Speed' which is currently set at 66.8Mbs....it was previously set higher.
Speed tests are running at 63Mbs.

Hi @Sarah8987,
Thank you for getting back in touch and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding in our last message.
I can see that your connection profile on our side was set to 66.8mbps. As you have a static IP address, this was restricting the speed on your side. I've adjusted this now - please reboot your router for this to take effect and let us know if you continue to experience any connection problems.

My 'Current line speed' is back down to 65.4Mbs after being raised to a more reasonable 78Mbs.
Is there no way of fixing it at a value closer to my router's sync speed of 76Mbs so that it doesn't restrict our download speed.
Are Delta reports getting in the way?
TIA for anyone's assistance.

Hi @Sarah8987, I've bumped up the profile our side again for you and a reboot should reflect on the sync speed your side.
I've certainly looked into why the profile keeps reverting back to around the 65Mbps mark and found this is a intentional feature as can be found here under the "How my IP profile is calculated?" and the part explaining your connection type would be the "NGASysten for FTTC...".
https://kitz.co.uk/adsl/IPprofile.htm#IP_profile_calculated
So although this is part of the design by all means if you notice the speeds dip like this moving forwards feel free to drop us another message and we'll happily bump up the profile moving forwards for you.
I hope this explains the reason behind the IP automated adjustments for you and wish I could have put it in my own words for you however I must admit this is the first time I've come across this information which explains why the IP profile keeps adjusting back after we manually change it.
