log onto the router page and have a look at the event log, in particular the WAN bit

also you may want to do a quiet line test ie call 17070 see if noise on line

you might also want to try using the test socket on the BT faceplate

Found out that my internet isn't even live yet, after being informed by plusnet that it was. Should be active in a couple of days, fingers crossed.....again
