As it currently stands the engineer should bring the modem, Plusnet should have sent you the router.

From looking at your account you didn't ask for one?
If you're wanting to take one of our routers you'd have to contact us and pay postage and packaging.
Alternatively there's nothing stopping you getting a 3rd party router.

thanks for replies
I was offered a router and the postage was waived. I am upgrading so it was part of the package.
This is in my email from Plusnet
'I have waived postage and packaging of your new wireless N router'

Been speaking to an advisor in the meantime and I have to let appointment on Monday go down as a missed one. To ignore any email regarding missed appointment fees and wait for you to rebook and send me a router. So might have to wait several more weeks to get a broadband service I can stream with.
Any chance that you can upgrade my router to a Hub(?) please for all this inconvenience?
Thanks for your speed in replying and trying to sort things out.
