North of Scotland loss of service, or service wide problem yesterday?

Hi all,
I monitor 4 connections on Plusnet, including my own, using the Thinkbroadband latency monitor. Gives me a quick glance view of the connection health.
Yesterday, all 4 disconnected at the same time in the early hours. It then appears my own connection and one of the others ran horribly throughout yesterday. I confirmed this last night by getting only 1.5MBps through Speedtest.net. I suspect the other connections had similar issues. This morning, it is back to normal. I disconnected twice last night to see if a server hop helped but it didn't.
Please see the 4 links below for yesterdays latency graphs, confirming the issues. Of note, two connections are in one place, and the other two in another town. Interestingly, the issues shown are the same on one connection each from the two locations. This confirms it wasn't local congestion.

I've also spotted a couple of posts on here complaining about speeds yesterday.
