Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

Your upload might be on a banded profile. Only Plusnet can tell if it is or not when doing a line check.

Hopefully it will get there. Smiley

Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

The upload speed is on a banded profile but it should be doing better.
"0.128M-67M Downstream, Interleaving High - 0.128M-19M Upstream, Interleaving On"
Interestingly our tests are still showing a external issue with the line affecting the connection.
We can raise this and see what happens. Hopefully the upload will go back to where it was before.

Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

I've raised that now and a engineer should check the line externally in the next couple of days.

Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

Well a BT engineer came this morning & did a reset on the DLM as he said the BTOR guys can,t do that.
I told him about my upload speed problem & he said it could be PN have capped that or you are on a certain % of d/load & upload, maybe PN need to look at that.
Anyway this is my latest speed test,it may come back up further yet,i will monitor it for a while. Smiley

Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

Well we certainly haven't capped it and we can't set any sort of percentage ratio for download or upload.
The upload sync is at 6.4 now which is a slight increase but I'm not sure if we can get it higher

Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

Matthew,
Is it possible to explain how it was higher before the complete failure of the line and the subsequent repair?  See the speed test in the user's sig.

Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

@Townman
I suspect at some point during the phone fault a different pair has been used and that the one the OP is on isn't as good. We can look into getting this changed but it would require a appointment and there's no guarantee the speeds would go back to what they were

Re: No internet this morning AGAIN

Hi Jockwav i was in a similar situation to you in that my upload was cut down from 10Mb to 5Mb engineer came yesterday found no noise on the line, he did a reset put me on a different line to the cab but whilst i gained a little more of my download speed back went from 50Mb to 55Mb the upload remained at 5Mb he ran the BTO I.T dept to get a line history saw what i use to have but was unable to get it back, it could be due to cross talk it could be rein he wasn't sure.
any way G.INP is currently being rolled out ( soon for ECI fibre cabs which i'm on ) so that may help if it is indeed part of a rein  / noise issue and there is vectoring to follow so it may all end up well in the end it's just a waiting game.
